Commuter of the Year winners announced:  Much Thanks to all who submitted entries! This year's commuter of the year winners are Jaclynn D. and Randy D. 

Jaclynn D. rides RFTA, walks and bikes. Jaclynn’s commute gives her fresh air, mental peace and relaxation. She saves money, helps the environment and enjoys the beauty of where she lives. “Don’t be in such a hurry all the time to get places”

 

Randy D. Walks her son from home to school and then catches the RFTA bus to work. This reduces wear and tear on her car, reduces fuel costs and decreases the pollution that she could be putting in the air. “Take RFTA! Sit back and relax. Let RFTA take you to work. Read a book, catch up on the phone and text legally!” 

 

Commuter of the Year winner honorable mentions: We also would like to acknowledge two students who submitted entries. Hunter C. and Kevin C. This brother team bikes to school every day!

 

Hunter C. hasn’t missed a day in 7 years and says “Once you start to commute using alternative methods, it’s easy to keep it up”.

 

Kevin C. hasn’t missed a day in 6 years and says “It’s like new food, you don’t know if you like it until you try it. I encourage you to try a new method for at least a week”.
